Caleb has recently decided he is big enough to feed himself. If I even try he will turn his head and shove the spoon away. So independence it is. He is pretty good at getting the spoon into his mouth, the problem is getting food onto the spoon. He loves trying to scoop food out of the bowl, but has yet to figure out that spoons are not flat, or that things spill. But the look of absolute concentration on his face is hilarious! He tries so hard. Watching him learn to do something for himself is so wonderful and so frustrating. It's hard to not just reach out and do it for him! Every time he gets it right we clap and he gets a huge smile and looks so proud of himself. As you can see, though, he gets most of it on himself and the highchair.

That is so cute! What a big boy!! The independance battles only get worse I'm afraid :)
I can't believe you have a baby that is this old, Becky! Last time I saw you I think you had just gotten married. Or maybe it was even before then? I can't remember. I bet it is awesome to be a mother and Caleb is so cute!
